Bobby
Castaneda is a painter, illustrator and author of The Urbanalism Manifesto. He was raised in Phoenix and graduated from Collins
College for Visual Communications and Multimedia. Castaneda is one of the few local painters who lives the true artist lifestyle, exemplified
by his "no art if not in the heart" mentality. Most of his materials are found among the ruins of a rapidly changing downtown.
Bobby is an artist who provokes critical thought in the community, by creating visually stimulating works, which he calls
"Militant Negativism." This socially conscious artist posesses a drive that has been found in only the most dedicated of artists.
